I have been actively involved with various schools and colleges in developing critical and experimental programmes for their students. I am passionate about teaching students the world of sound design, where they can understand the different elements that shape sound and learn to communicate with their surroundings.
Through a process of getting to know the world of Sound Design, my aim is to help students analyze and deconstruct the different elements of sound. I believe this helps students develop sensitivity towards the various sounds emanating from their surroundings. I teach different modules/courses that are designed to sharpen the abilities of the students to relate, communicate, and develop basic skills and attitude towards building their own repertoire.
In my courses, I encourage students to be intuitive, imaginative, and experimental – both in approach and design. Composition and Sound Design workshops are essentially meant to develop these qualities in students. I teach design thinking attitudes (from an aural perspective) to help students communicate and relate with their surroundings/environment and develop their own personal repertoire and vision as a sound designer and composer.
Apart from Sound Design, I also teach Sound Production (Audio Production) and Bass Guitar (Techniques, Composition and Arrangement). These courses cover various techniques, composition, and arrangement methods that help students develop their skills and creativity.

Course: Creative Music Exploration
As an educator, I am always excited to develop new courses that help students explore the world of sound and sound design. One example of such a course is ‘Creative Music Explorations’, which I had the pleasure of teaching to students at Ashoka University.
Throughout this course, we delved deeper into the world of sound and sound design, ultimately creating a sound map of Ashoka. Through various exercises and projects, my students were able to jump into the world of experimental music while also enhancing their understanding of sound design. We began with fundamental questions such as “What is Sound/Music?” and progressed to more intricate questions such as “Is it interesting?“
I firmly believe that it’s essential to provide students with the opportunity to explore their creativity and expand their knowledge of sound design. By the end of the course, my students had a newfound appreciation for the art of sound creation, and I couldn’t be prouder of their growth and progress.
